GOT7 to make 2025 comeback with album after 3 years away, ‘working hard on the concerts’

GOT7’s leader Jay B announces the 7-member K-pop group will reunite in January 2025 and issue an album, says ‘we’re working hard’

K-pop boy group GOT7 will release a new album next year, making a full-fledged comeback after three years.

The group’s leader, Jay B announced the news during his solo concert “Tape : Re Load” at KBS Arena in Seoul on December 7, noting that all seven members of the group are gearing up for their new album scheduled for next month.

“I’ve been given permission from the members to be the one to break it. I’ve been trying hard to make it happen,” he said after performing GOT7 songs as an encore. “GOT7 will reunite to make a comeback in January next year. We’re working hard on the concerts, but nothing is decided yet.”

This will be the first album in three years since the group released its 12th EP, GOT7, in 2022.

The seven-member act – Mark, Jay B, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom – debuted in 2014 with the mini-album Got It?,” and have released several hit songs, like “Fly”, “Never Ever” and “Hard Carry”.

After their contract with JYP Entertainment expired in 2021, they signed a new contract with Warner Music Korea as a group while pursuing solo activities.

Jinyoung made his way into acting, starring as the lead in series like The Devil Judge (2021), while BamBam made appearances in variety shows.

Jay B released his first solo full-length album, Archive 1: [Road Runner], last month, and launched a concert tour with the Seoul show over the weekend. The singer is set to continue the tour at Impact Arena in Bangkok on January 11 and 12.
