Lenny Kravitz brings young fan named Lenny on stage for heartwarming jam session during European tour

Rock legend Lenny Kravitz turned a fan’s first concert into the memory of a lifetime when he spotted a young boy—also named Lenny—at the front row of his show and invited him on stage for a surprise jam session. The touching moment unfolded during a stop on Kravitz’s Blue Electric Light Tour, currently electrifying audiences across Europe in support of his 2024 album.

A first concert to remember

During one of his recent performances, Kravitz noticed a small child in the crowd wearing protective earmuffs and holding a sign that read the show was his first-ever concert. As captured in a now-viral TikTok shared by the artist himself, Kravitz paused the set to speak directly to the young fan: “That’s your first show? Your first show ever? Come up here and show everybody.”

What followed was pure magic. The child ran into a warm embrace from the four-time Grammy winner, who then asked him to introduce himself to the crowd. When the boy shyly responded, “Lenny,” the crowd erupted in cheers—and so did Kravitz’s heart.

A tambourine, a signature, and a jam session

Without missing a beat, Kravitz grabbed a tambourine, autographed it, and handed it to the mini Lenny. The rocker then picked up one for himself, and together, the pair jammed in front of thousands. “You keep them going,” Kravitz encouraged the young boy, before stepping aside for a moment, instructing him: “Don’t go nowhere.”

The moment ended with Kravitz kneeling for one last hug, sealing a once-in-a-lifetime experience that fans online are calling “pure joy.” Comments poured in from TikTok viewers, many marveling at the child’s confidence and the kindness of the star. “That’s an amazing memory for him. How special,” one user wrote, while another added, “Can you imagine just jammin’ out with Lenny?”

The Electric Blue Light era

The heartwarming moment is just one of many highlights from Kravitz’s current Blue Electric Light Tour, which supports his 2024 album of the same name. The European leg continues through mid-April before he heads back to North America for spring performances and a return to his Las Vegas residency in August. He’s also scheduled to perform at the Oceans Calling Festival in Ocean City, Maryland this September.

Kravitz reflected on his Vegas engagement earlier this year, telling PEOPLE in January, “I am a student of music and music history and show business, and Vegas is legendary.” He added, “It’s changed. It’s not the same Vegas it was in the ’50s, ’60s, and ’70s, but it has its history… So to be part of that and say, ‘Hey, I played Vegas. I’ve done a residency in Vegas.’ It’s cool.”

A rockstar who gives back

Beyond the music, it’s moments like these that showcase why Kravitz has maintained such a devoted fan base for decades. In a world of pyrotechnics and choreographed perfection, there’s something uniquely powerful about a spontaneous, human moment—especially one that makes a child feel like a rockstar.

For young Lenny, his first concert didn’t just end with music—it began with a memory he’ll carry for the rest of his life. And for the rest of us? It was a powerful reminder that even legends still have time for kindness.
