Tom Holland Gifted a Spider-Man Sketch from Young Fan While on Break from Filming The Odyssey in Italy

Holland’s meeting with a Spider-Man superfan came just before he helped announced ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ at CinemaCon 2025

Tom Holland is there for his fans.

On Sunday, March 30, Holland, 28, was photographed meeting a young Spider-Man fan while he took a break from filming Christopher Nolan’s currently in-production movie The Odyssey in Favignana, Italy.

Holland — wearing bright green hoodie, jeans and sunglasses — was seen interacting with the young fan, sporting a Marvel and Spider-Man-branded sweatshirt, who gave Holland a hand-drawn sketch of his iconic web-slinging character.

The actor posed for a photo with the fan and proudly held the adorable drawing up.

Holland’s meeting with the young Spidey fan came at an opportune time for friendly neighborhood superhero enthusiasts. On Monday, March 31, Sony Pictures unveiled the title for Holland’s fourth Spider-Man film, titled Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and confirmed that the movie will release in theaters July 31, 2026. The actor appeared at the convention via video to help the studio tease his fourth Spider-Man movie, which will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings).

Although 2021’s No Way Home ended with everyone in the film magically forgetting who Peter Parker is, Holland’s fiancée Zendaya, plus costars Jacob Batalon and Jon Favreau, are expected to reprise their roles; Sadie Sink will also costar.

Holland has been spending time in Italy in recent weeks to film The Odyssey, in which he will costar with Matt Damon as the mythological Greek heroes Telemachus and his father Odysseus in an adaptation of the Ancient Greek epic attributed to the poet Homer. Holland was most recently seen on set on Wednesday, March 26, when he was photographed in costume alongside actor Ryan Hurst. Zendaya was seen spending time on The Odyssey’s set on March 25 as she and Damon filmed scenes for the upcoming film.

The Odyssey is set to release in theaters July 17, 2026, two weeks before Spider-Man: Brand New Day’s arrival on July 31, 2026.
