Originating as Vietnam International Junior Fashion Week in 2018, the event has undergone eight years of continuous innovation, evolving into an integrated fashion ecosystem. The 2026 edition marks a significant milestone as the program adopts a unified model connecting three major communities—All Stars, Junior, and Student—on a global scale. More than a series of fashion showcases, the event serves as a platform to position Vietnam as an emerging destination for culture, fashion, and the creative industries in Asia.
Hosted at the Vietnam Exposition Center (VEC) in Hanoi, this year’s edition brings together more than 30 fashion brands, alongside renowned designers, beauty queens, kings, and international guests from around the world. Beyond its professional showcases and networking activities, the program is supported by a network of Student Model Ambassadors—young representatives who embody the creativity, global outlook, and sense of responsibility of Vietnam’s student community. Among them, Tran Ngoc Lam My stands out as one of the event’s distinguished ambassadors.
Tran Ngoc Lam My — the Central-born beauty
Currently a fourth-year student in the Faculty of Banking at the University of Economics – The University of Danang, Tran Ngoc Lam My first gained public recognition after being crowned First Runner-up at the university’s Miss & Mister 2025 competition. The title marked a significant turning point in her journey, opening the door to new opportunities in the fashion industry and allowing her to further develop her personal brand.
Although she had long been passionate about fashion and had always paid close attention to her personal style, it was only after the pageant that Lam My was able to step into the professional modeling environment. With the guidance and support of experienced mentors and senior peers, she gradually became involved in various fashion-related activities, gaining practical experience while broadening her perspective on the creative industry.
These experiences ultimately led to her appointment as a Student Model Ambassador for Global Fashion Week All Stars 2026. For Lam My, the role represents both recognition of her continuous dedication to learning and personal growth, and an opportunity to represent Vietnam’s student community through a series of networking and cultural exchange activities at an international fashion event.
Breakthrough-making self-transformation process
Few people know that before earning the title of First Runner-up, Lam My regarded managing her weight as one of the greatest challenges she had ever faced. At one point, her weight fluctuated between 65 and 67 kilograms, largely because she had not yet established a consistent routine of healthy eating and regular exercise.
A turning point came when she decided to compete in Miss & Mister 2025. Recognizing the responsibility of representing her fellow students, Lam My committed herself to a structured nutrition plan and a disciplined fitness regimen, ultimately reducing her weight to 50 kilograms. This transformation not only enhanced her physical appearance but also strengthened her self-discipline, perseverance, and commitment to preparing thoroughly for every goal she set for herself.
According to Lam My, being well-presented is about more than outward appearance. It also means continuously developing one’s knowledge, refining professional and interpersonal skills, and maintaining a genuine willingness to learn and improve. These are the principles that continue to guide her personal and professional journey.
