LA TRỊNH atelier and the mid-20s voyage

Originating from the ambitions of a 23-year-old, fashion brand LA TRỊNH atelier is gradually turning its dream of bringing young talent and Vietnamese cultural identity into the global fashion scene into reality. The project marks a seamless collaboration between designer Namie Trinh and producer Hien Thao, opening a bold creative journey for young people willing to venture into the fashion capital of Milan.

Early aspirations and the daring spirit

In their twenties, while most of their peers chose safer and more secure paths, designer Namie Trinh and producer Hien Thao decided to devote themselves wholeheartedly to establishing LA TRỊNH atelier. Their journey began with freedom of thought, courage, and a strong desire to affirm the position of Vietnam’s young creative community on the international stage.

Each hand-drawn sketch was gradually transformed into tangible garment structures through a systematic tailoring process. The young duo chose to combine European design thinking with the refined craftsmanship of domestic tailoring workshops. This convergence created a solid foundation that allowed their initial ideas to quickly take shape, moving beyond the confines of their early dreams and onto professional runways.

Despite facing numerous challenges in terms of resources and the stringent production standards of international markets, the young team remained committed to its distinctive creative direction. They view fashion as far more than a simple consumer product, positioning each design as a medium for conveying cultural messages and profound personal emotions.

An identity awakened through contemporary craftsmanship

The creations of LA TRỊNH atelier carry the mission of reminding us that within every individual lies a unique self waiting to be awakened. Rather than conforming to mainstream fashion conventions, the fashion house focuses on developing architectural silhouettes that liberate the wearer from constraints while celebrating their natural beauty.

With a keen artistic sensibility, designer Namie Trinh skillfully combines everyday wearability with the standards of high-end tailoring. Every cut, fabric pleat, shoulder structure, and waist dart is precisely calibrated to enhance the contours of the body while preserving comfort with every movement.

The brand’s fashion has become a voice representing the modern generation of women—those who constantly seek independence, understand their own worth, and confidently shine from within. Every outfit worn becomes a reflection of the soul, awakening the hidden energy within every woman.

When east–west converge

The most distinctive mark of the young duo’s creative journey is fully embodied in the collection titled “gods within her”. The project opens up a world steeped in mythology, where goddess figures from Eastern and Western cultures come together to tell a story of beauty, faith, creativity, and feminine power.

This artistic odyssey takes fashion enthusiasts through the ancient cathedrals of the Mediterranean, reaching the sacred mountains of Eastern cultures. Rather than standing in opposition, layers of cultural symbolism are thoughtfully interwoven, creating a harmonious dialogue between the two halves of the world.

In particular, the image of the Eastern goddess, as envisioned by the founders, is closely associated with knowledge, music, and profound wisdom. Here, beauty transcends the constraints of conventional standards of appearance, nurtured instead by deep understanding and the ability to create sustainable social value for contemporary life.

Taking homeland heritage afar

Beyond the mythological elements, the show also provided an opportunity for Vietnamese heritage to proudly make its voice heard in the heart of Milan. National cultural memories and traditional handcrafted embroidery and tailoring techniques were vividly reimagined through a fresh, modern, and highly aesthetic lens.

The design team skillfully incorporated local materials and meticulous craftsmanship, bringing the beauty of tradition into the flow of global high fashion. This transformation demonstrates that traditional culture possesses enduring vitality and can keep pace with contemporary artistic trends when approached through an appropriate creative vision.

The image of the goddess has never been confined to the pages of ancient fairy tales or distant legends. The goddess continues to live vividly within every woman, celebrated through every flowing garment and every stitch painstakingly woven by the young creatives of LA TRỊNH atelier.
